History & activities

Founded in 1885, Carnuntum's Society of Friends is one of Austria's oldest associations of this sort and an important stakeholder for all archaeological concerns in Carnuntum. Its main objective is to support archaeological research in Carnuntum and make it accessible to a broad public.
