Festival of Late Antiquity

Up to 200 participants from throughout Europe turn back time by 1700 years for this extraordinary event, living for two days in houses in the reconstructed quarter of a Roman city as if time and world history had stopped all around them.

Dine like the Romans! Delicious Roman dishes hand-picked among ancient recipes await guests in the posh villa urbana of the reconstructed city quarter.

Children's Festival

For the Children's Festival, Carnuntum turns into a ancient Roman playground full of historical fun with a variety of games, handi-craft, storytelling, tasty food thus offering a playful insight into the world of the Romans!

Long day of museums

The Roman City Quarter and Museum Carnuntinum keep their doors open until 9 p.m.! Not to be missed: a torch light hike to the Civilian City‘s Amphitheatre and the "Heidentor" (Heathen's Gate).
