Bairro romano (acessibilidade limitada)

A partir do parque de estacionamento, as pessoas em cadeira de rodas têm acesso sem barreiras à bilheteira e através de caminhos asfaltados ou em gravilha (superfície pavimentada) a uma ilha central de informação no recinto. A partir daqui, é possível observar o bairro romano e conhecer o interior das casas reconstruídas através de um filme. Nas casas romanas, fielmente reconstruídas, há alguns degraus mais altos e superfícies irregulares. A estrada romana rodeia estas casas e só é parcialmente acessível a cadeiras de rodas e carrinhos de bebé. Uma alternativa é passear pelo prado. As rampas móveis (comprimento 200 cm, largura interior 75 cm, capacidade de carga 250 kg, peso 6,8 kg) facilitam a experiência das termas romanas e da villa urbana. Estas rampas móveis e cadeiras de rodas estão disponíveis para serem utilizadas de forma autónoma na bilheteira e no recinto. Pedimos-lhe que nos avise por telefone alguns dias antes da sua visita e que se informe sobre as condições no local. Se tiver uma cadeira de rodas elétrica com um peso superior a 250 kg, contacte-nos também por telefone, pois temos rampas alternativas disponíveis. Os grupos com visitas guiadas reservadas devem informar-nos das suas necessidades no momento da reserva. Existe uma casa de banho para pessoas com deficiência na entrada principal.

Anfiteatro da cidade militar 
A partir do parque de estacionamento, é possível chegar à bilheteira e à sala de exposições numa cadeira de rodas. É vantajoso ter uma assistência para o acesso à arena. O caminho para a bilheteira e para a sala de exposições é de cascalho, o acesso à arena faz-se através do prado. Existem espaços para cadeiras de rodas na bancada. O anfiteatro não está equipado com casas de banho para pessoas com deficiência.

Museu Carnuntinum
O museu Carnuntinum pode ser visitado na sua totalidade com cadeiras de rodas. O piso superior pode ser alcançado com a ajuda de um elevador de escadas. Também está disponível uma cadeira de rodas, se necessário.

Todos os locais de pagamento estão equipados com sistemas de laço de indução móveis. No bairro romano as estações de audição estão, por um lado, equipadas com sistemas de laço de indução e, por outro lado, também possuem aparelhos de indução móveis para visitas guiadas disponíveis sob notificação prévia.

No anfiteatro da cidade militar, a sala de exposições está igualmente equipada com um sistema de laço de indução.

Bairro romano
Um sistema de pavimento tátil orienta desde o parque de estacionamento até às instalações arqueológicas. Lá encontra-se um sistema de orientação tátil. Todas as informações nos painéis informativos estão também disponíveis em braile. Ademais, é possível obter um guia resumido em braile e com tipo de letra grande na bilheteira.

Archäologischer Kulturpark Niederösterreich Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. endeavors to ensure that its website at www.carnuntum.at and its online store at https://shop.carnuntum.at/ webshop/ in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) and the Lower Austrian Web Accessibility Ordinance implementing EU Directive 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 26, 2016, on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.

Status of compliance with requirements

Due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions, the website is partially compliant with conformity level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” and the applicable harmonized European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03). The incompatibilities and exceptions are listed below.

Incompatibility with accessibility regulations

• For some images and graphics, the alternative text is not meaningful or is missing entirely (WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content).
• Some content in sliders is cut off at the sides when scaled up to 200% in the browser. In some cases, text content is also superimposed (WCAG 1.4.10 Overflow).
• Moving images should be pausable, but there is no pause button or similar (WCAG 2.2.1 Adjustable timing and 2.2.2 Pause, stop, hide).
• In some cases, the keyboard focus on logos and buttons is not clearly recognizable. In a few cases, the focus is not visible or elements cannot be controlled with the keyboard, e.g., checkboxes in forms (WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard and WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible).
• The website is compatible with current assistive technologies such as screen readers. When opening and closing the menu, no status message is announced by screen readers (WCAG 4.1.3 Status Messages).
• PDF documents: Individual downloadable PDF files do not fully comply with accessibility requirements.
   

We are working on solving these problems:

• Alternative texts are being continuously added and optimized.
• We are continuously working on focus issues to further minimize them.
• Moving images will be equipped with a pause button by the end of 2025.

Website review

The website's compliance with the Web Accessibility Act implementing the requirements of EU Directive 2016/2102 was assessed in August 2025 in the form of an external test according to WCAG 2.1 at conformity level AA in July 2025. The homepage, contact options, five other representative subpages of the NÖKU website, and the homepages of the respective NÖKU companies were reviewed. Individual page content is regularly checked by the web editorial team when new content is published.
