Quartiere romano (parzialmente accessibile)

Dal parcheggio, le persone in sedia a rotelle hanno accesso senza barriere alla biglietteria e, attraverso percorsi asfaltati o in ghiaia (superficie pavimentata), a un'isola informativa centrale all’interno del parco. Da qui si può ammirare il Quartiere Romano e conoscere l'interno delle case ricostruite attraverso un filmato. Nelle case romane fedelmente ricostruite ci sono alcuni gradini più alti e superfici irregolari. La Römerstraße circonda queste case ed è solo parzialmente accessibile per sedie a rotelle e passeggini. Un'alternativa è quella di attraversare il prato. Le rampe mobili (lunghezza 200 cm, larghezza interna 75 cm, portata 250 kg, peso 6,8 kg) consentono di visitare facilmente le terme romane e la villa urbana. Queste rampe nonché sedie a rotelle mobili sono disponibili per l'uso autonomo presso la biglietteria e all’interno del parco. Vi chiediamo gentilmente di avvisarci telefonicamente qualche giorno prima della vostra visita e di informarvi sulle condizioni in loco. Anche se avete una sedia a rotelle elettrica di peso superiore a 250 kg, contattateci telefonicamente, perché abbiamo a disposizione alcune rampe alternative. I gruppi con visite guidate prenotate sono pregati di comunicarci le loro esigenze al momento della prenotazione. All'ingresso principale si trova una toilette per disabili.

Anfiteatro città militare
Dal parcheggio è possibile raggiungere con una sedia a rotella la cassa e lo spazio espositivo. Per accedere all’arena, è utile avere assistenza. Il percorso che conduce alla biglietteria e alla sala espositiva è in ghiaia, mentre l'arena è accessibile attraverso il prato. Nella galleria pubblica sono disponibili posti per sedie a rotelle. L'anfiteatro non è dotato di servizi igienici per disabili.

Museo Carnuntino
Il Museo Carnuntino può essere visitato interamente in sedia a rotelle. Il piano superiore è raggiungibile con l'ausilio di un montascale. Se necessario, 

Tutte le postazioni di cassa sono dotate di loop a induzione mobile. Nel Quartiere romano le postazioni di ascolto sono dotate di loop di induzione e, su prenotazione, sono disponibili anche dispositivi mobili di induzione per le visite guidate.

Nell’Anfiteatro città Militare anche lo spazio espositivo è dotato di un circuito a induzione.

Un sistema di guida a terra conduce dal parcheggio al sito archeologico. Lì è presente un sistema di orientamento tattile. Tutte le informazioni sui pannelli informativi sono disponibili anche in Braille. Inoltre, alla biglietteria è disponibile una breve guida in Braille e in caratteri grandi.

Museo Carnuntino

Archäologischer Kulturpark Niederösterreich Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. endeavors to ensure that its website at www.carnuntum.at and its online store at https://shop.carnuntum.at/ webshop/ in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) and the Lower Austrian Web Accessibility Ordinance implementing EU Directive 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 26, 2016, on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.

Status of compliance with requirements

Due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions, the website is partially compliant with conformity level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” and the applicable harmonized European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03). The incompatibilities and exceptions are listed below.

Incompatibility with accessibility regulations

• For some images and graphics, the alternative text is not meaningful or is missing entirely (WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content).
• Some content in sliders is cut off at the sides when scaled up to 200% in the browser. In some cases, text content is also superimposed (WCAG 1.4.10 Overflow).
• Moving images should be pausable, but there is no pause button or similar (WCAG 2.2.1 Adjustable timing and 2.2.2 Pause, stop, hide).
• In some cases, the keyboard focus on logos and buttons is not clearly recognizable. In a few cases, the focus is not visible or elements cannot be controlled with the keyboard, e.g., checkboxes in forms (WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard and WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible).
• The website is compatible with current assistive technologies such as screen readers. When opening and closing the menu, no status message is announced by screen readers (WCAG 4.1.3 Status Messages).
• PDF documents: Individual downloadable PDF files do not fully comply with accessibility requirements.
   

We are working on solving these problems:

• Alternative texts are being continuously added and optimized.
• We are continuously working on focus issues to further minimize them.
• Moving images will be equipped with a pause button by the end of 2025.

Website review

The website's compliance with the Web Accessibility Act implementing the requirements of EU Directive 2016/2102 was assessed in August 2025 in the form of an external test according to WCAG 2.1 at conformity level AA in July 2025. The homepage, contact options, five other representative subpages of the NÖKU website, and the homepages of the respective NÖKU companies were reviewed. Individual page content is regularly checked by the web editorial team when new content is published.
