Carnuntum is well connected with Vienna via train. From Vienna City Center "Wien Mitte - Landstraße" take the Line S7 in direction Wolfsthal. Get off at the station Petronell-Carnuntum, the ride takes 60 minutes. After a short walk of 15 minutes (follow the signs) you reach the Roman City Carnuntum.

For returning to Vienna you can catch a train every hour as well (9.18h, 10.18h, 11.18h etc.)
