In the living rooms of the Romans

The houses in the Roman Quarter will be filled with life and reenactors will be on hand to answer curious visitor questions. What was family life like in Roman times? What was the role of women in the ancient world? And how can one imagine civil life in the city of Carnuntum at that time? During a walk through the Roman houses you can meet the inhabitants of Carnuntum and learn their interesting stories.

The kitchens in the houses are brought to life as they were in Roman times. Freshly baked Roman flatbread and Globi with honey smell tempting and are available to try.

A special highlight is the time travel tour at 12 noon. During the tour, you will meet a resident of ancient Carnuntum and learn more about the world and everyday life 1,700 years ago. You will also be given a guided tour of the Roman quarter with all its special features. Particularly suitable for families.
