2nd Project Partner Meeting
January 14, 2026On January 14, 2026, the second partner meeting of the Interreg Danube Region project ROMAN LEGACY took place via videoconference. The project partners coordinated the next steps and discussed the progress made so far in establishing a transnational cultural route and thematic region dedicated to Roman heritage along the Danube Limes.
The focus was on joint strategies, exchange between partner countries, and networking among archaeology, heritage preservation, museums, tourism, and regional development. In addition, the foundations for joint educational and presentation formats were discussed, aimed at making the Roman cultural heritage in the Danube region visible in a unified and sustainable manner.
The meeting confirmed the strong interest in international cooperation. In the coming months, the focus will be on the concrete design of the cultural route, further workshops and public activities, as well as joint strategies for the protection and promotion of Roman heritage.
