Summer Specials in Carnuntum
With our Family Vacations package, you’ll receive a complete Carnuntum package at an attractive combo price for your trip with children: admission to the Roman City + family tour + VR experience. The family tour takes place daily at 11 a.m. during summer vacation. With the brand-new VR experience, you’ll explore Carnuntum virtually through stunning imagery.
Experience a unique yoga session on the historic grounds of Carnuntum with a view of the reconstructed houses in the Roman Quarter. The program includes morning yoga and after-work yoga, which can also be booked with breakfast or a glass of mulled wine and a Roman-style snack to set the mood for a summer evening. Children will also enjoy a special family yoga session.
Enhance your visit to Carnuntum with an informative and entertaining guided tour. In addition to the regular guided tours of the Roman Quarter and the Carnuntinum Museum, a family tour takes place at 11 a.m. on all school holidays.
For international guests, a guided tour in Slovak is offered daily at 11 a.m. and a tour in English at 1 p.m. during the summer. Every other weekend, there is also a guided tour in Hungarian at 11 a.m.
So you can make the most of your summer day in Carnuntum until the very end, the Roman City is extending its hours: from July 4 through September 4, we’re open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon with pizza, ice cream, and Italian music. On August 15, you can savor “dolce far niente”—the sweet art of doing nothing—in the Mediterranean atmosphere of the Roman district of Römerstadt.
Note for all NÖ-Card holders: You can, of course, also use your NÖ-Card in combination with the Family Package this summer. Unfortunately, reservations for this cannot be made through the online store; they can only be made in person at the ticket office.
